It’s Competition Time Again … Yay! The Door Writing Competition

THE DOOR WRITING COMPETITION

NEW FREE WORLDWIDE COMPETITION FOR YOUNG WRITERS AGED 8 to 18

I’m sorry that it has been a while between competitions. I’ve been busy with new books and all sorts of other writerly things.

But I’m pleased to announce a new free competition for young writers.

The theme for this competition is The Door. You can write anything you want on the topic. Use your imagination :-)

The door could be a secret door to somewhere. Something could happen on the other side of the door. You can write anything you want as long as there is a door in your story somewhere.  It can be any kind of door, anywhere.

Here are some doors to inspire you, but it doesn’t have to be one of these.

A NOTE TO TEACHERS

I run these competitions for the enjoyment of kids who love to write.

Due to the hundreds of entries I receive, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t use this competition as a translation activity, or homework for students who are likely to feel pressured or stressed by being forced to enter stories.

Thank you for your understanding :)

DO YOU HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT WRITING OR ABOUT BEING AN AUTHOR?

If you do, feel free to ask your question in the comments section of this post, and I will blog you an answer when I get back.

Happy writing:)
